Katy Krantz' ceramic objects serve as visual metaphors for the human body. Vessel 10, 11 and 12 are part of For Yianna, a series of vessels made while while pregnant with her daughter. Krantz received an MFA from Hunter College and a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Krantz' work is featured in Contemporary Ceramics: Contemporary Artists Working In Clay by BSDA founder Kate Singleton.
